But before I talk about figures, let me tell you something important: when you book a newborn photo session, you’re not just paying for photos.

You’re paying to experience it calmly and truly enjoy it.
Imagine two or three hours where the only important thing is your baby. No rushing, no watching the clock. Where if they need feeding, they’re fed. If they need a cuddle from you, they have it. Where every cry is respected, every yawn is captured, every gesture is valued.

I’ve been photographing babies since 2011. I’ve worked with hundreds of newborns, each one different. I know how to soothe a restless baby, when to wait, when to act. I know how to find the perfect light for their delicate skin. I know how to capture those moments that go unnoticed: how you look at them whilst they sleep, how they touch your face without realising. That doesn’t come in a manual; it’s learned by living these moments over and over again.

How to choose your photographer (beyond price)
When looking for a photographer for your newborn session, ask yourself these questions:
Do their photos move you?
Look at their portfolio. If when you see their images you feel something, if you can imagine your baby like that, if you think “this is what I want”, you already have part of the answer.
Do they give you confidence?
You’re going to be in a very vulnerable moment, with your baby just days old. You need to feel you’re in good hands, that this person knows what they’re doing and will look after your baby as if they were their own.
Do you connect with their way of seeing photography?
There are photographers who love elaborate poses, creative setups, vibrant colours. Others, like me, prefer the simple, the real, the natural. No style is better than another, but it has to resonate with you.
What exactly is included?
Don’t just focus on the total number. Ask: how many edited photos do you receive? In what format? Are physical products included or are they extras? How long does the session last? That way you can really compare.
What do other families say?
Read reviews, look at comments on their social media, ask in mothers’ groups. Other parents’ experience will tell you a lot.
The question you should be asking yourself
It’s not “can I afford a photo session?”
It’s “can I afford NOT to have these memories?”
I know it sounds dramatic, but after 13 years doing this, I can assure you of something: I’ve never met parents who regret having invested in professional photos of their newborn.
But I have met many who tell me: “I wish we’d done it. It all went by so quickly…”

You don’t need to know the exact delivery date. We work with complete flexibility. What’s important is that you have your slot secured and can relax knowing that when your baby is born, everything is already organised.
And if your baby has already been born and you’re reading this thinking “it’s too late”, I tell you the same thing I always say: it’s never too late. We might not take exactly the same photos we would have done in the first days, but they’ll still be beautiful and valuable.
